Privacy Policy
Version of September 23, 2026
Betwarts Casino CA is a review website. We write about Betwarts Casino for readers in Canada, but we are not the casino, so there is very little about you that ever reaches us. This policy explains what that little is, why we keep it, for how long, and how you can ask us about it. It was last revised on September 23, 2026.
Who we are and which laws apply
In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the small editorial team that publishes this review. We run no games, accept no deposits and hold no player accounts. When you read our pages, you are dealing with a publisher, not with a gambling operator.
We handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal law that covers private organizations in Canada. Readers in Quebec are also protected by the provincial private-sector law as amended by Law 25, which adds rules on transparency, consent and confidentiality incidents. We apply its main ideas to every reader.
Our business particulars, such as the legal name of the entity behind the site and its mailing address, are not printed here. They are provided on request through our contact page, and the same channel reaches the person responsible for privacy questions.
What information we collect
Information about you can reach us in only three ways, and none of them asks for your name.
Server logs
Like almost every website, ours runs on a web server that writes a short line each time a page or file is requested. A typical line holds the IP address of the device, the date and time, the page asked for, the browser and operating system as the browser reports them, and the page you came from if your browser shares it. We use these logs to fix broken links and slow pages and to block abusive traffic. Logs are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically.
Your cookie choice
Whatever you pick on the cookie card is saved by your own browser, under the name bt_consent_ca, which is why the card stays away on the next page. The note never reaches our server. It holds two yes-or-no answers (statistics, marketing) and nothing that says who you are. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser, and the banner will simply ask again.
Emails you send us
If you decide to write to us, we receive your email address, whatever name your mail program attaches, and the content of your message. We use this only to read and answer you. Messages are kept for up to one year, so that we can follow up if the conversation continues, and then deleted. If you want a message removed earlier, just ask in the same thread.
What we do not collect
Much of the data people worry about never passes through our hands.
- We have no user accounts. There is nothing to register for and no password to store.
- We take no payments. Card numbers, Interac details, crypto wallet addresses and banking information are never entered on this site.
- There are no forms on our pages: no newsletter sign-up, no comment box, no quiz. The only way to send us something is by email.
- We do not see anything from your casino account. Registration, identity checks, deposits, withdrawals, bonus history and game play all happen on the casino's own platform.
That last point matters. Betwarts Casino is run by Stellar Ltd under an international licence from the Anjouan Gaming Authority, and it is a separate organization with its own privacy policy. For personal information you give the casino, the casino decides how it is used and answers for it. We cannot view, change or delete that data, so any request about it should go to the casino's support team. It works the other way too: the casino does not receive our email correspondence with you.
Why we use information and on what basis
PIPEDA asks organizations to identify their purposes before or at the time of collection and to rely on meaningful consent. Here is how that works for each item above.
Running and protecting the site
Server logs are needed to deliver pages at all and to defend the site against attacks and scraping. A reasonable person would expect a website to keep this kind of technical record for a short time, so we rely on implied consent here, limited to security and maintenance. We do not use logs to build profiles of readers or to follow anyone across other websites.
Remembering your choice
Storing bt_consent_ca is how we respect the answer you gave. It is strictly necessary for the banner to work, and it is set only after you make a choice.
Answering you
When you email us, you give express consent for us to use your address and message to reply. We will not add you to a mailing list or pass your address to the casino or to anyone else for marketing.
Optional analytics and similar tools
Anything that is not strictly necessary stays off until you accept it in the banner. You can change your mind later, and refusing does not stop you from reading any part of the review.
Exit links and cookies
Leaving our site for the casino
Some buttons on our pages, such as the ones that open the casino's lobby or its welcome offer, take you to Betwarts Casino. These links do not go straight to the casino. First they pass through a short redirect page on our own site, which then forwards your browser to the casino or to its affiliate partner.
Here is what that means in practice. Your click is recorded in our server logs like any other page request, with the same 30-day limit. The partner that tracks the referral, and then the casino, may receive a click identifier: a random reference that tells them the visit came from our review. It is how publishers like us are credited when a reader signs up. The identifier does not contain your name, email address or anything you typed, and we never see what happens on the casino's side afterwards.
Once you arrive at the casino, its own privacy policy and cookie notice apply, and they are worth a read before you open an account.
Cookies in brief
We keep cookies and similar storage to a minimum. The essential item is your consent record, stored in the browser as described above. Optional tools, if we run any, load only after you accept them, and each is listed with its purpose and lifetime in the Cookies Policy. That page also shows how to reopen the banner or clear your choice in the most common browsers.
Sharing, transfers and retention
Who else handles the data
We do not sell personal information, rent it out or trade it. The only outside party that handles it on our behalf is our hosting provider, which stores the site files and the server logs, and whichever email service delivers our mail. Both act as service providers: they process information to keep our services running and are bound by contract to protect it and not to use it for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information where Canadian law requires it, for example in answer to a valid court order. If that ever happens, we give only what the order covers.
Transfers outside Canada
Our hosting and email providers may store or process data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States or the European Union. While it is there, the information can be accessible to courts and authorities of that country under local law. We choose providers that offer protection comparable to what you would have at home, and our contracts with them require it. As Quebec's rules ask, we weigh the sensitivity of the data before any transfer; for logs and emails the risk is low.
How long we keep things
- Server logs, including clicks on exit links: up to 30 days, then automatic deletion.
- Emails and our replies: up to one year from the last message in the thread.
- Your cookie choice: in your browser until you clear it, or until we change the banner and need to ask again.
A log line tied to a specific attack may be kept until that investigation ends.
How we keep information safe
The whole site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to the hosting account and the mailbox is limited to the people who need it, protected by strong passwords and two-step sign-in.
No system is perfect. Should a breach of security safeguards create a real risk of significant harm to anyone, the people affected hear from us directly, the federal Privacy Commissioner receives a breach report under PIPEDA, and to the Commission d'accès à l'information where Quebec residents are involved. We also keep a record of every such incident.
Your rights and how to use them
Using your rights costs nothing; a short email is usually enough.
Access and correction
You can ask whether we hold information about you, what it is, how we have used it and who else has seen it. If something is wrong, you can ask us to correct it. For the emails you have sent us, that is easy to answer; for server logs, we need the approximate date and time of your visit and the IP address you used, since logs are not organized by name.
Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw consent at any time. For cookies, clear your choice or reopen the banner. For email, ask us to delete the thread and we will. Withdrawal does not undo what was lawfully done before it, and it will not block your access to any page of the review.
Quebec residents
If you live in Quebec, you can also ask how the information was collected and request that it be removed where keeping it is no longer needed. We will point you to the right place if a request really concerns the casino rather than us.
Making a request or a complaint
- Send your request through our contact page or write to us directly, saying what you want.
- We may ask for a detail or two to make sure the information is really yours before we disclose it.
- We reply within 30 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and when to expect an answer.
- Unhappy with our answer? A complaint can go to the federal regulator, the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC). Quebec residents may also turn to the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Children, changes and contact
Age
This site is written for adults. Online gambling is for people aged 19 and over in most provinces, and 18 and over in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone below those ages. If a parent or guardian believes a minor has emailed us, let us know and we will delete the message. Our Safe Play page lists parental tools, and ConnexOntario is available at 1‑866‑531‑2600 for anyone who needs to talk.
Changes to this policy
This policy gets revised whenever something here changes: a tool added or dropped, a new host, or a change in the law. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For an important change, such as a new category of data or a new kind of partner, we will also mention it in the cookie banner so that you can review your choice.
Contact
Questions about privacy, requests about your information and comments on this policy are welcome. Use our contact page or write to us, and a real person on the team will answer. Who we are is on the About Us page, and the rules for using the site are in our Terms and Conditions.
